Once you’ve made the decision to buy a new home, there are complexities and decisions that will need to be made. In this post, Members Settlement Services, LLC has some ideas to keep in mind when choosing a Realtor to guide you through the sale process.

Communicating with your Realtor

There are a lot of decisions that need to be made when purchasing your home, so it is important that you feel comfortable discussing your requirements with your Realtor. Choose a Realtor who you feel comfortable having a strong and potentially assertive discussions with. If you have specific concerns during the process,  it’s important that you feel comfortable speaking up.
Remember, you are choosing your Realtor. If you feel that they are too rushed, or are not as open to listening to your ideas, or simply you feel like they are just a little rude, keep looking. Be sure to take your time and choose somebody you trust.

Getting involved in the home buying sale process

Your Realtor is there to help guide you through the process of purchasing your new home, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get involved.  Follow the process along with them, and if possible, submit any documents or applications in person. This can help to ensure all of your agreed requirements and important documents are being lodged.  Should your Realtor forget to speak with you about title insurance and you do not obtain it prior to closing, you put your home at risk of being claimed by a creditor due to unpaid monies from the previous owner.
If protecting your home from creditors is important to you and you are in the process of closing the purchase of a home, speak with Members Settlement Services, LLC about title insurance in Phoenixville and other services that can help you with a seamless home purchase by calling 610-482-4086.
